JOIN THE POLICY HACK PLANNING TEAM 2023

The following is posted on behalf of our friends at Policy Hack:

Hello Colleagues,
We are excited to announce that planning for the 2023 Policy Hack Nova Scotia competition has begun.

We are in the initial planning stages and looking to build a strong, diverse and talented project planning team.
● Are you looking to gain experience?
● Do you want to develop skills in leadership, management, and teamwork?
● Interested in expanding your professional network?

If you answered “yes” to any of the questions above, joining the Policy Hack planning team can help you achieve those goals.

We are looking to fill the following volunteer positions on our planning team:

What is the Policy Hack Competition?
Policy Hack is a collaborative intergovernmental competition where federal, provincial, and municipal employees in Nova Scotia come together to develop solutions to complex policy issues currently impacting Nova Scotians. No policy experience required to participate.

What kind of experience can I gain?
There are opportunities to gain experience and develop skills in leadership, management, technology, and communications among other areas. Equally, you will be able to take advantage of opportunities for professional development, networking and
innovation. You do not need any prior experience in policy to be a part of the Policy Hack planning team.

What is the time commitment?
The Policy Hack planning team will meet on a weekly basis. Depending on your role, potential team members can expect to commit 1-3 hours weekly to Policy Hack. That time commitment, however, can increase as we near the competition period—keep in mind that you are part of a team and we are all there to help out if needed. We are planning to host the competition in the spring of 2023.
